I am very fortunate to have experienced the incredible love, inspiration, emotion, and passion Michael holds, even months before his arrival into this world. He has a special gift and ability to touch and inspire each person he meets. As in his yoga practice, he is a gifted, talented, and well educated teacher who inspires his students to SHINE.

Michael's music, inspirational readings, and heartwarming voice enhances and sooths each and every class (keeps you coming back for more). His connection with each student is amazing; he speaks and always thanks each by name. Michael's knowledge of each and every body part and how to work it, stretch it, or rest it without invitation takes each student to their own personal level. His verbal coaching and live demonstrations help each student to reach their fitness goal with trust and confidence.

Michael's yoga class has been an incredible experience, and blessing for me. My posture, flexibility, strength, and inter-wellbeing have improved tremendously and what a FANTASTIC work out. His love and passion for yoga is unquestionable, setting him and his class apart from any other. Not to mention, I get to spend an hour of pure bliss with my SUPERSTAR, my son YogiMichael.

Testimonial for Yogi Michael-

I have been studying yoga with Yogi Michael for about seven months and absolutely love his classes, his style of teaching, and his enthusiasm.  His knowledge and passion for yoga is evident in each of his classes.  He is supportive, loving, and encouraging towards each of his students, leaving him/ her feeling like a superstar.  He also takes a personal interest in each of his student's lives which makes us feel special and cared about; this is evidenced in high and consistent attendance in all his classes.

In class he encourages us to push ourselves in order to build confidence and reach a true understanding of self.  He truly listens to our requests and knows our limitations- working with them and asking that we honor yet continue to grow through them.  He goes the extra mile for his students by selecting appropriate music, props, and oil misters for our comfort and enjoyment.  I have learned so much under his care.  I have decided to pursue my own yoga teaching certification as he has inspired me to want more.  His enthusiasm and passion has certainly rubbed off on me as well as others he comes in contact with.

I highly encourage anyone interested in yoga to try out a class with Yogi Michael.  You will leave feeling balanced, renewed, confident, and motivated to continue your yoga journey.

With Much Appreciation,
Becky La Sor-Martin ~ Goodyear, AZ  (Center of the Heart Yoga Kula)

My partner, Patty, and I would like to acknowledge the tremendous difference Michael Warner has made in our lives. His inspiration has led us to make significant changes in our habits and attitudes, resulting in better health.

As our yoga instructor, Michael understood and honored our individual needs from the very beginning. His perception and sensitivity made yoga class a safe place to let down our guard and take risks without the fear of criticism or physical injury. He helped us to participate to the best of our ability when we were new to the practice, and as our strength and flexibility improved, he instructed us on how to set and meet new challenges. Michael’s classes always address the varying needs every participant.

Not only does Michael support us in our efforts to grow stronger in our yoga practice, he fosters spiritual and emotional growth as well. He is extraordinary in his unique ability to share the peace, love and energy he possesses within himself. Michael is an inspiration because he is wholly committed to walking a path of truth, light, and wellness. His ego does not drive his instruction; his heart does. He is open to all things beautiful in life, and because of that, he helps us to view the world, our lives, and ourselves from a new positive perspective.

Michael Warner is an asset to any employer or client who has the pleasure of working with him. He is consistently above the mark when it comes to commitment and performance. Wherever Michael goes, we will follow because he offers so much more than knowledge and expertise. Michael is authentic. He is a beautiful light in a world that can seem quite dim at times. We believe in him, and he believes in us. Together we accomplish amazing feats!

Most Sincerely,

Cindy Moore ~ Peoria, AZ (Pure Fitness and Glendale Community College Kula

A few Sunday’s ago I found myself in a small room with several other women and men hearing the instructor ask us to listen to the chanting, explain what was being said and offer us the chance to absorb and chant if we felt comfortable.  The entire activity took only 5 minutes or less, but it made me realize how far my mind, body and spirit have come in just a few months.  Even six months ago if someone told me I would find chanting an exhilarating experience I would have told them absolutely no thank you-no way.!  My change of heart, mind and body, have come from the excellent teaching of an extremely talented young yoga instructor named Michael Warner.  I have been a teacher and Guidance Counselor for almost 40 years and I know that many people are knowledgeable about their field are but few have the gift of being a true teacher and are able to impart their knowledge to others and still leave the student with a thirst for more-Michael is a teacher in every sense of the word.

It goes without saying that he is a kind and compassionate person.  Beyond that, he walks into a studio and brings a sense of peace and calmness and safety with him as part of his genuine spirit.  My personal experience with Michael is through Restorative Yoga.  I went to a fancy gym and took a Yoga class and found it much too fast paced and impersonal for this out of shape body of mine.  I could see quickly that more bad than good was about to happen.  My much younger daughter, who could keep up, suggested Restorative Yoga.  I searched and found the class Michael teaches at Lightworkers Gifts.  I went to the first class with trepidation and I left thinking that it wasn’t too bad- I will try again.  From one week to the next I didn’t see rapid change in my body, but I left feeling relaxed and a little better than the time before.  After about two months, something miraculous happened.  I really could see a difference in my ability to stretch and breath.  I no longer felt quite so anxious and started feeling a lot more confident and also found that it was just easier to relax in general.

I have since experienced other Restorative teachers, aren’t we all looking for something better?  Little did I know that I had already found the best!  Michael teaches us, pampers us, and makes each of us feel unique and appreciated.  He has learned in such a few years what many of us search for all our lives-acceptance of who we are and where we are going.  Whatever path we choose to take to get there is totally fine, the important thing is that we are on the journey.  How lucky I am to have Michael as my tour guide!

Experiencing Michael’s yoga class was a highlight to my visit to Arizona. He immediately fills the room with positive energy and made me feel welcomed as if I was his long-time student. His teaching style is adaptive to the students’ needs, and he is very knowledgeable in modifications and adjustments from which I greatly benefitted.

Michael also enhances the class experience with inspirational music and readings. The restorative class was incredible, and I left feeling like I’d been with a truly gifted teacher who loves what he does.

From my very first class, I knew that Michael was an especially gifted yoga teacher. His ability to incorporate the philosophical and spiritual aspects of yoga with a deep understanding of asana is conveyed through his emotional connection with every student – whose names he always knows and never forgets.

As a student returning to yoga after decades away, I found Michael’s teaching style to be challenging but unintimidating, and always encased in an abundance of love for his students. I have found not only my teacher, but my guru – someone who I can trust and count on to guide me through the practice I cherish.

I have attended several of Michael's classes in cycling, yoga and pilates and I loved them so much!
He is an extraordinary teacher. He makes all the classes much more fun which is very important because I am 15 yrs old and I wasn't very keen on working out but with him it was a pleasure.

The cycling class was probably my favorite. I didn't want to try it at first because it seemed very difficult but as soon as I was on the bike Michael made me feel confident and gradually I felt comfortable. The class went so fast, with all the variety he made us do. I forgot the time and I tell you that at the end of the lesson I could feel I had my work out of the day!

My Grandma told me that pilates was her favorite but only WITH Michael. Indeed she told me that traditional pilates was boring but Michael makes his own class and it is so great.

I loved his spirit in the yoga class, the way he talks...

I was in the USA visiting my family for 5 weeks and I am so glad I got to attend some of his classes because back in France I will definitely go to some exercising class though I know they won't be as good as Michael's!

Without a doubt, for me, the best all around classes have been Michael's Pilates Flow. They stretch, strengthen, and raise my heart rate to a complete body workout as no other class does. He is an energy master in creative variations of all muscle groups. I leave his class wanting more and at the same time feeling as if my whole being has been tuned up.

Thanks again YOGI...your classes are the best.

The first time I tried Yogi Michael's class I had been on a two year hiatus from working out at a gym and I was out of shape after having a baby.  I was skeptical that I would get a great workout because other yoga classes had been unfulfilling.  Not only did I find that I became more flexible after taking multiple classes but there were times my muscles were sore a day or two after class.

I was able to get into poses because of Michael's near constant coaching of how to move one's body and his gentle guidance.  He is extremely knowledgeable about alignment and the body and has a gift for breaking down a pose into easy steps.

The music in his class sets the mood and is usually motivating.  I leave the class feeling incredibly energized and relaxed at the same time.

Each class starts with gentle stretching and a reminder to set your intentions for class.  You get to decide what it is that you are hoping to get from the class and people of all ages and physical abilities are able to benefit from Michael's teaching.

What has surprised me most about Michael's classes is not the physical gratification I get from stretching my body and learning how to properly get into a pose it is the comments that Michael will throw out at the end of class that you take with you about life.  Today he talked about fluidity - going with the flow with the economy as it is, the political situation as it is, your relationships as they are.  At the same time, he suggested we go through life like we execute our yoga moves in class - boldly, without hesitation and with confidence.

What yoga class have you taken lately that leaves you with a better mind, body and soul?  I hope to meet you in my next class.

While visiting friends in Litchfield Park I attended one of Michael's classes. I've attended lots of yoga classes and workshops, even one in India, and found that his class was one of the best I've ever attended it was fabulous and I think that he is a rising star in the yoga world.

I am by no means an expert yogini but have experienced a few traditions and teachers in my day and he definitely has a gift.

His unique style and emphasis on personal attention to the well being of each student was a real treat.  Michael is one of the best!

Yoga was something I have always wanted to try and I was thrilled when it was announced that a yoga class would be taught at our corporate campus twice a week.

I had no idea how fortunate I would truly be. We all hope to find our passion in life – to make a difference and to do everyday what brings us joy and takes advantage of our natural gifts.

So many of us never find that, but Yogi Michael surely fulfills his life destiny every time he teaches and his students reap the benefits. Michael doesn’t just teach a yoga class, he gives us a yoga experience. We benefit from the choice of music, the inspirational philosophy, the quiet time at the end of class and the power of ‘Om’ and ‘Namaste’ before we leave. And in between Michael is there encouraging and helping us to shape our bodies and nurture our spirits.

Each class is different and Michael effortlessly incorporates the needs of each student into the workout that day. We are motivated to strive beyond our limits but also to know our limits and listen to our bodies – there is no failure in Michael’s class, only triumph for what we have achieved.

I look forward to these classes every week. Thank-you seems so inadequate for the gift of yoga that you have given me, so instead I will bow to and acknowledge the beautiful light in you. Namaste Yogi Michael.

Recommendation for Michael Warner (Yogi Michael)

I am very fortunate to have experienced a yoga journey with Michael. Several years ago, I moved to Arizona from Virginia and was searching for a yoga center. I stumbled across the Center of Heart Yoga and attended Michael’s class.
He immediately filled the room with positive energy and made me feel welcomed as if I were his long-time friend.

His classes are enhanced with music, inspirational readings, and his heart warming voice. Each class starts with gentle stretching and a reminder to set your own personal intentions. His teaching style is adaptive to the students’ needs, and he is extremely knowledgeable in modifications and adjustments. He knows how to break down a pose, allowing you to achieve your own personal level. Throughout the class, he verbally coaches and demonstrates encouraging you to reach the pose or modified pose with trust and confidence. His connection with each student is amazing. At the end of each class, he offers an inspirational reading and thanks you by name.

You leave his class feeling incredibly energized and relaxed at the same time. He is a truly gifted teacher who loves what he does. His class leaves you with a better mind, body, and soul…which is what yoga is all about! With much appreciation and gratification for a wonderful yoga experience.

I’ve studied with Michael for almost 2 years. Having practiced yoga for more than a decade, and studied with many experienced teachers from India and US, I can definitely count Michael as one of the best in what he does.

Not only is a great yogi, he is gifted in teaching and encouraging his students to do the best they can. Michael knows the delicate balance between knowing the limits of the body and yet challenging oneself to go one step higher.
His former students miss his professionalism and yogic wisdom.

I have always been curious about yoga and was very excited when Safeway started offering yoga classes. I immediately fell in love with yoga because it made me feel so good. A big part of liking yoga so much was probably the instructor himself.

Michael has this awesome, calm, serene personality that immediately makes you feel relaxed. One could tell that yoga was his passion and it came across in his class. His classes were always challenging yet no class was the same. In Michael’s class I was able to twist and bend in ways I never knew was humanly possible. I loved it! He was accommodating to newcomers and would modify poses if someone had an injury. What an instructor!

I consider myself extremely lucky that I had YogiMichael as my first yoga instructor and I know that it will be very hard to find another yoga teacher like him.

I miss him and his class a lot.

I had the greatest pleasure to have Michael as my first Yoga instructor. Michael is an amazing yoga instructor and definitely a wonderful human being.  I have always been a move around kind of girl, Yoga was never my thing.

We had the opportunity at work to have Michael teach yoga twice a week, I tried it and loved it.  Every class he made it special, challenging and always fun. It changed me in many ways, physically, mentally and I also learned to listen to my body.

Michael Warner is an amazing teacher. His secret– connection. Michael makes a point to know his students’ names and treats each student as a valued asset to the yoga community. He adeptly reads the energy of his students and provides inspiration and challenge that elevate body and soul in every class. He is creative in bringing literature and music into his classes. He can teach yoga outside, against a wall, with chairs. . . Michael is imaginative, playful and fills his classes with devoted followers.

Michael is knowledgeable about the anatomy of yoga and makes excellent adjustments that accommodate all levels of physical ability.

I attended Michael’s yoga and meditation classes for two years. Michael’s classes reflect his genuine, articulate, sensitive nature. I also taught in the same yoga studio. As a student and fellow teacher, I observed Michael in a variety of situations. Michael always demonstrates selfless leadership, professional ethics, and constant compassion. Even though I didn't attend class on a regular basis, ...  I miss Michael and his restorative classes.  You are so caring about your students and that means a lot coming from me because I am a beginner.  You always took the time with me and each of the students to make sure our positions were correct and comfortable.

The music/meditations you played and just the whole atmosphere of the class was very relaxing.  I wish you well in your future.

After working for a "hundred" years as a public school teacher and virtually having no time for myself, I retired and joined a gym!  I really joined the gym so I could go to yoga and pilates - not for all those expensive machines!!  The first time I went to class I was very nervous about my lack of exercise and everyone there told me, " Michael is wonderful,  he is an excellent instructor."  When Michael walked in he greeted each of us by name, a handshake or a hug.  During the hour, he would encourage us by calling us superstars and telling us how wonderfully we were doing.  He would come to each of us individually and assist us.  He taught us yoga using the mat and the wall; he pushed us to try new things like head stands!  He reminded us to listen to our body - to be aware of its needs and limitations.

Michael taught me how to totally relax and week by week my shoulders began to migrate to their natural position.  I no longer felt like a turtle and I no longer was going to my chiropractor on a regular basis.  In fact, the chiropractor probably thinks I moved away since I haven't been there in months.  At the end of a class Michael would acknowledge us by name and bow to the wonderful light within each of us.  He would send us off with a handshake or hug.  All of the students in the yoga and pilates class were very sad when Michael told us he was moving to Seattle.

Our loss is certainly their gain - Michael can never be replaced in our lives.  He not only was our instructor, he was our friend.
Sandy Prins ~ Glendale, AZ  (Pure Fitness Kula)

I had taken Michael's classes at a local gym, Pure Fitness in AZ, for two years now. I discovered Michael by accident from trying out different classes the gym had to offer. I got to know Michael as an instructor for yoga and pilates classes. He was the first instructor to open my life to yoga, and I embraced it with joy and was forever grateful for it. I savored every class he taught and felt the benefit from it physically and mentally.

Michael is a unique instructor in the sense that he always has a message for his yoga class. He speaks clearly and has keen observation for his students as he makes sure that students performs correct poses. He is a hands-on type of coach. He demonstrates as well gets in the poses with the rest of the class. He is very approachable, always makes me feel comfortable in his class even though I am late sometimes. His classes are fun and challenging at times, but no two classes are the same. So it is very interesting to guess what Michael is going to teach today, what props he is going to use, etc. People just don't know what to expect, but the end results are always rewarding and refreshing. I lead a very stressful job as a pharmacist. With yoga, I find relief of stress, I can refocus better, put things in perspectives and make better decisions personally and professionally. I live healthier mentally with Michael's class.

Michael is creative with his teaching. Sometimes, his class was overcrowded, the class ran out of certain instruments, he always took care the need of student first, or improvised so he could accommodate all his students. In Michael's class, he made adjustments for his students, so students knew how it felt to get certain poses done correctly, and conditioned the body to learn it. Michael was the main reason I kept my membership with the gym. I was saddened when he left the practice, but I think Michael has great potential wherever his calling dictates him. He teaches with heart and great passion, which separates him from all the ordinaries. Michael is a great mentor and a hard-working individual, he has the drives in things that he believes in, I know he will succeed in all his journeys and make a name for himself. I wish nothing but best for him in all his endeavors.

RE: Yogi Michael Warner

We had the privilege of finding a great yoga instructor for our twice-weekly lunchtime yoga sessions at our corporate office.  Michael really knows his stuff, and no two classes are ever the same.  We would tell him what our bodily concerns were before each class, and he would design the class as it was going to address the concerns of the attendees.  He does a great job of talking the class through the flow of yoga positions, often mentioning suggestions even during common poses that makes you look at the pose differently and get that "extra bit" out of each one.

Michael also brings forward words to think upon as a class progresses, helping us to bring serenity/peace/strength/whatever the word was, to us thru the practice.  Also, he is very familiar with essences and oils, and sometimes uses them to help the class de-stress from the work environment.  Michael seemed very comfortable with many philosophies and applying them to everyday life, frequently quoting Ralph Marston to help his class look at life from higher perspectives.

We were saddened to see Michael go, although two years of helpful instruction has left me in a place where I am comfortable moving forward with my own practice.  Thanks Michael!

Sincerely,
Dave Peterson ~ Axway Inc., Phoenix, AZ  (Corporate Yoga Kula)

I would like to express what a great motivated instructor Michael is but writing a certain type of letter is not something I am good at.  The fact that he really enjoys his work and gave each student personal attention meant so much.  Every session I left feeling better about myself,  I would always enjoy attending any class he taught.

I am truly blessed to have met such a wonderful person like Michael Warner. He is by far the best Yoga instructor I have ever known. And let me just say, I have attended many Yoga sessions with different instructors throughout my life, and no one compares to Michael.

It is truly a unique experience every single time you attend one of his yoga classes. Not only does Michael always have a smile on his face but he also generates such positive energy with his presence.  He makes everyone feel welcome and comfortable in his classes. He pays very close attention to detail, which includes the music, and the overall structure of his yoga sessions etc.

I must say that I have not attended one single yoga class since Michael moved away from Phoenix. I miss him dearly as an instructor and a good friend. I know that he is out there touching and changing people's life for the best, and that makes me happy.

I met Michael at a yoga class about 1 ½ years ago.  I like to exercise especially running, weight lifting, and taking spinning classes.  I had taken yoga classes before and never really cared for them because I simply could not do the poses and I could not figure out why my body would not go into the poses.  To tell you the truth, I really never liked yoga because I am not flexible and it was way too slow moving for me, but I thought it would be good for me and my body.

When I walked into class for the first time I was immediately greeted by Michael.  He introduced himself and wanted to know my name.  I noticed as each person came into the room, that person made a beeline for Michael to greet and hug him.  I thought it was so sweet.  I eventually became a part of that hugging tradition which happened before class and after class.

As the class began, I was amazed that Michael knew everyone’s name and was complimenting, correcting, and teaching throughout the whole entire class.  He was so encouraging.  If you could not get into a pose, he was able to talk you through it so you could get your body into the pose or at a minimum closer to the pose.  His knowledge of yoga and his ability to impart that knowledge is incredible.    I definitely improved over the time I took his class and I really liked his style of teaching not to mention his words of wisdom at the end of each class.

Michael truly cared about each person in that class regardless of their individual level.  He was there to teach everyone and improve everyone.  As a person who didn’t really like yoga before, I started to really enjoy it.  I began taking pilates with him as well.  After every one of Michael’s classes, I always had a spring in my step.  Whether it was his kind words, great teaching, or his big personality, I cannot say.  I have missed him and his classes since he left.  I would highly encourage anyone to try a class with Michael.  You will keep coming back.

Michael is such a positive and sensitive instructor which makes his classes a refreshing delight on any gray Seattle day.  I am a beginner in my yoga practice, but Michael has a great way of gently challenging me in mixed classes without making me feel embarrassed of my lack of knowledge or skills.  I always feel somewhat enlightened after class and thankful to be learning from such a thoughtful soul.

I would recommend Michael's classes to anyone exploring the practice of yoga, whether they be young or not so young, beginner or advanced.  He has something special to offer everyone, both in the physical sense as well as the spiritual one.

Don't miss the opportunity to work with Michael.

As far as I am concerned, he is in a league of his own.

I started taking Michael's yoga mix class at ProRobics on Queen Anne after several months of physical therapy for a knee injury. My doctor insisted that I practice yoga to gain confidence using the knee and establish a balanced approach to moving, as my pour posture had contributed to the injury.

Within steps of walking into class, one of Michael's students welcomed me and insisted I was with the right instructor. I was immediately comforted with the idea of an instructor that fostered such an encouraging and non-judgmental space for yoga.  Michael continues to inspire me and fellow students with confidence and challenges us to set aside our expectations and limitations.

I would like to invite you to meet Michael and take a class from him. His warm and gentle spirit is as refreshing as afternoon sunshine in our overcast city. Welcome to Seattle Michael, I am glad you are here.

A good yoga class requires challenge, good directions, and trust in the instructor.   A great class has all of those, but also lifts you out of your normal day, exists complete in itself, and returns you to the world both physically invigorated and mentally relaxed.  Michael has great yoga classes.

His classes are welcoming and well-thought out.  In them, there is both challenge to the body and release at the same time.

I am new to yoga as a practice. I visited two or three classes in the distant past before beginning a once-a-week session with Michael nearly six months ago. I visited a different yoga discipline this morning and am moved to comment on my experience with Michael as an instructor and on his class at ProRobics as an experience.

What convinced me to come to his second class was my first impression that Michael
understands the physiology of the body and the kinesthetics of how the body moves.  From the second class on I sensed his awareness of the tight connection between mind, body, and soul and the role that thought, breath, muscle, bone, tendon, and attitude play in the flow of life in the human person. I admire what I see of Michael’s practice and I am grateful for his teaching style and leadership in the class I attend.

I have been present in seventeen classes so far, which is exposure to seventeen hours with Michael interacting with a different dynamic of people in each class, a different journey through varying poses, a different energy level week to week, and a different starting place each evening. I have watched him effortlessly adapt to the needs and skills of each group.  The different ages, yogic experience, physical types, fitness levels of each person seem to be apparent to Michael at a glance and his personal contribution to each person is respectful, educational, and specific to each individual’s desire and need, and presented in such a supportive manner that it is universally anticipated and welcomed.

The class experience is validating and wholesome.  He makes me believe that I am doing well and that all my classmates are also doing well. His manner of teaching welcomes everyone into his confidence. He has made me believe that I am seen and that his care is leading me personally to a better experience of my own life as if I were the only person in the class. When I look around I sense everyone else feels he is as interested and committed to them as I feel he is committed to me.

In seventeen classes I notice that my body is more flexible, more balanced, and shows an improvement in posture. There are other subtle changes like body awareness, stability, increased inner peace, confidence. I am aware of a soul movement.  I began the class in probably the top 5% of fitness in the country for people with my body type and age.  I may have picked up a percentage point already.  Who knows where this will go?

I felt strongly drawn to yoga for at least two years before attending my first class with Michael.  He is the instrument that has made yoga a discipline that I believe will be central part of my practice for the rest of my life.

To anyone interested in yoga I have to recommend Michael Warner.

Not just because of his calm demeanor, winning smile, or his warm personality. I have only been able to attend his classes about every two weeks for the last few months. I have found improvement in core strength and balance that a year with other professional teachers did not bring. He seems continuously aware of what each of his students is doing in class, Michael provides a sophisticated technique with moment to moment verbal queues that allow me to follow along seamlessly. His awareness of individual challenges coupled with safe techniques lead to advanced routines accomplished without injury.

Michael and his interest in teaching is genuine and not vain, affected, or mercenary.

When I first moved to our new apartment in Seattle, having on-site yoga was a big draw, however I assumed the classes would be relatively low quality, being free and open to all levels. I couldn't have been more wrong!

Michael is one of the best yoga instructors I've ever had in over twelve years of doing yoga. He really makes every student feel comfortable and helps each person to their own level. He always takes time to make individual corrections and give positive feedback to keep people feeling great during the class. If only he was around every day. As a doctor, I often recommend that patients try yoga to strengthen their core and help with balance.

I would never hesitate to send them to Michael; I could not recommend him more strongly!

I just wanted to pass along that I was in class with Michael.  I think he did a great job and would be plenty happy to take classes from him if he happened to be teaching during my open windows of time.

Here are some specific pieces of feedback:

·        He was very articulate with the concepts he was explaining.

·        He did a nice job of calling out adjustments in class that seemed both intelligible and not overly complicated.

·        He was focused on injury prevention and applied that throughout class (I guess perhaps the Anusara influence).

·        His class was definitely challenging for me, which I appreciated. (Granted I'm just getting warmed up again, but I think I would find it challenging at my peak).

·        He used lots of encouraging communication with the class and he was sure to use people's names frequently.

Take care,

Michael is a phenomenal yoga teacher!

He has a contagious enthusiasm for the practice, as well as a deep knowledge of the art.  He's warm and welcoming to all students, and is a joy to be around.  I've been doing yoga for 15 years, yet his classes often include postures I've never done before.  It's exhilarating and rewarding when he encourages me to try a particularly challenging pose.

In class, he'll often make minor adjustments to the students' postures, which make a huge beneficial difference in how the pose feels.  He's incredibly well versed in the minutiae (precise details) of each posture, and how a slight twist or rotation of a muscle can improve a pose.  He regularly offers modifications to poses, and his classes are ideal for students of every level.  I highly and unhesitatingly recommend him as a teacher.

Me and CJM at a fundraiser for Children's Hospital at The American Cutting Company

Three years ago I was in search of help, my body had become stiff and uncomfortable to live in.  All my life I'd enjoyed going to the gym, hiking, skiing and tennis.

I'd thought about YOGA but would say to myself, Ahh too slow, I like to be more physical. WRONG.  YOGA has given me great relief from my aches and pains.

I went to many different yogi's until I found the wonderful YOGIMICHAEL.  I've been going to Michaels classes twice a week for the past year. Teaching is a gift -- he truly has that gift.

Thank you Michael!  I couldn't be more pleased with my physical condition since becoming a student.

xoxo,
CJM

I encourage anyone thinking about going to Michaels class but fear you might not be "good" enough because you're a beginner or you have not exercised in a very long time to go and see what a wonderful experience you will have, not only physically but spiritually as well.

Michael is truly an angel and you feel his love for life the minute your around him. My husband is not into yoga but he did love going to the restorative class and that says a lot! Michael ended the class with meditation and I always left feeling peaceful.

He makes each person feel special... and we are. He reminds us of that!

"I was feeling like a yogini orphan for a few months, but as soon as I went to Michael's class, I knew his classes were going to supplement my yoga path. What I love about his class is that he makes us feel like we are a part of it. It's not a gym-like workout yoga, it's not a speed-maniac yoga, it's not "i only want to talk to the teacher" yoga. He creates an atmosphere that feels like what yoga ought to be.

You feel included in something that's simply "Good". He's sure got a good lamp to lead you to a kind, lovely, compassionate yoga path. I love it."
